Americans love business. They love dreaming about opening a business. Sitting in cubicles wishing they had any day of the week to go to the beach, spa, and long lunches. Only 13% of americans become business owners. But 2/3 of millionaires are self employed. What is the disconnect? we are all salesman if you think about it. We are selling our time to others instead of believing in ourselves to control our time, work load and life. Here comes CNBC capitalizing on fear, dreams, and hopes.
American Greed show scams that have come to the light. What scares me about American Greed is all the people that have been caught, WHAT about all the scammers that haven’t been caught. People to scared or shamed to come forward.
The Profit shows failing companies who really aren’t failing but just need more capital, need more organization, a bigger idea. Marcus Lemonis cracks me up into laughter because he has done this process multiple times. He has multiple businesses he has kept open and still people resist him. He is Lebanese born American with a great upbringing and a mind for business.
Shark Tank is a weird but interesting show because it shows all kinds of entrepreneurs and business owners coming through who need a little help in the form of capital and exposure.
I love this type of television, less trashy reality tv and more business culture. I need more Americans creating businesses and growing their knowledge in investments to fight scams and failing businesses.
